Three years ago I saw a dress in RL shop, but did not like the idea of different fairy-island patterns on one piece. Plus my daughter refused green color, and since we are in the princess age, the choice was pink and flowers on F-I part.

I'm knitting a cabled cardigan (the Acer cardigan). I noticed that I had, some 15 rows and 3000 stitches earlier, failed to cross the stitches I need to. After quietly cursing, I evaluated my options. Leave it? No. Rip out the last few inches? Definitely not.

So I fixed it. ( See what I did under the cut. )

I'm knitting these mitts. I've completed one, reversing the right-hand edge cable by holding to the back, and am delighted with it. Now I'm doing the second mitt ( Read more... )

Hi everyone! I have a quick question about the Knotty But Nice pattern on Knitty.comI am just about to do row 15 of the chart and it says to omit those two stitches on the first repeat only... does that mean that I just slip those two stitches and only work them when I do the cable at the end of the last repeat? This cabled shrug is done in doubled bulky weight yarn on size 13 needles. I used some Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Bulky in Hazelnut, culled from my stash. While a bit heavy for the Los Angeles spring heat, I think it will work well for fall.
